Team Info
The Oakland Raiders Cheerleading & Dance Team is the official cheer squad of the Oakland Raiders football team. Popularly known as the Raiderettes, the group had 40 members in 2016. To be part of the Raiderettes is a worthwhile, unforgettable experience. Candidates who make the team get to perform for thousands of fans at home games, travel abroad, and gain exposure through community and professional events.

2017 Tryouts

All interested applicants must be 18 years or older to be able to sign-up for the 2017 auditions by April 1 (preliminary round).
If you decide to be a Raiderette, you need to be available for all home games and special appearances for the entire season. Team rehearsals are also mandatory and will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:30 PM and Saturday mornings from 7:30-10:30 AM. A Saturday mini-camp will also take place. Schedule will be announced.
Remember that being a Raiderette is a part-time job that requires less than 30 hours a week. You will be paid minimum wage for your work and that includes rehearsals, game days, appearances, events, and more.
Please pre-register for the audition. Registration deadline will be on Monday, March 27, 2017, by 5:00 PM.
AUDITIONS DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATIONS:
Preliminary Round
Date: April 1, 2017 (Saturday)
Time: There are two time slots for check-in - 8:00 AM. or 1:00 PM. Your time slot will be emailed to you after you pre-register online.
Venue: The Raiders Facility, Alameda, California
Attire: Casual clothing or conservative athletic attire.
Please note that there will be no dance performances during this round. Finalists will be posted on Raiders.com on April 3, 2017.
Final Round
Date: April 8, 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 8:00 AM check-in
Venue: The Raiders Facility, Alameda, California
Attire: Cocktail or formal attire (for interviews), Athletic/Dance attire (for dance routine)
Please arrive in your cocktail/formal attire. Final squad members will be announced within the day, after the auditions.
How Will You Be Judged?
You will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Poise
- Personality
- Appearance
- Talent
- Dance ability
How Can You Prepare For The Cheer Tryouts?
There is no requirement for you to have any dance experience but it is highly preferred. Know some dance terms such as pirouette, chasse, passe and more, since these terms will be frequently mentioned during the tryouts.
On April 3, 2017, you will be sent a link to a dance routine video demonstration which you should perform during the final auditions (April 8, 2017).
