Overview of the auditions process:
During the auditions, you will be taught new dance routines and techniques which you’ll be asked to perform in front of the judges. Make sure that you secure your own water and light snacks. The auditions are closed to the public except for the finals.
In order to audition, take note of the following requirements and qualifications:
You should turn 20 by September 1. While there are no specific height requirements, you are expected to be physically fit. This is why before the auditions it’s highly recommended that you work on your fitness. Adopt an exercise and a healthy diet. Please remember that being a Ben-Gals cheerleader is not a full-time job. You can be a student, full-time employee, and mom. However, you are required to appear at all home games and attend weekly practices.
How will you be judged? The judges will be looking at your physical fitness, personality, dance technique, and interview technique. If you must take the prep classes and have a personal training program, make the most out of it as it will help you ace the tryouts. The prep classes will be hosted by the Ben-Gals cheerleaders themselves.
