2019 NBA Honey Bees Dance Team Auditions Info

Auditions are fast approaching for the NBA Honey Bees Dance Team. Today, we’re giving you an overview of their 2019 tryouts. Excited? You should be!
Their 2019 auditions will take place on June 1 at Spectrum Center (5th Street Entrance). Registration will begin at 3:00 PM while the auditions start at 4:00 PM.
Since you have less than one month left for preparation, make sure to polish your dance technique, nail your fitness routine, and research the team well.

Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
The NBA Honey Bees Dance Team are looking for aspiring performers who are at least 18 years of age by June 1. You should be able to present a valid ID. You should also be a high school graduate or have received a GED.
If you make the team this year, the squad expects you to be available for rehearsals (usually held on Monday and Thursday evenings). It's also important to be present during on-court rehearsals, home games, meetings, and appearances.

Dance Audition Attire
According to the Honey Bees auditions page, you are expected to come dressed in your Hornets-inspired gear (Wear a midriff top, shorts, and non-marking shoes). Purple and teal are the required colors. Bring a warm-up suit or cover-up as well. Wear complete hair and makeup. Be creative and unique!
Prep Classes
The Honey Bees are offering three prep classes. The first one had already taken place (May 2). However, you can still join the two other classes:
- Business and Basketball Prep Class - May 16
- Dance Prep Class - May 29
During these prep classes, you will be taught what to expect, how to present yourself, choreography, and more. There will also be free giveaways and beauty samples.

The Honey Bees represent the NBA Charlotte Hornets. They participate in exciting photo shoots, travel internationally, attend charitable events, make appearances, and more. The 2018-2019 squad had a total of 19 members. To be a Honey Bee, you need to be physically fit, have a great personality, and be able to entertain people. The Honey Bees are paid for attending home games, appearances, and rehearsals.
