2019 NBA Minnesota Timberwolves Dance Team Auditions Info

The 2019 auditions are fast approaching for the NBA Timberwolves Dancers. Today, we’re giving you details of their upcoming tryouts. If you're planning to join this awesome team, here's a quick overview:
Their OPEN CALL AUDITIONS will take place on Saturday, July 13, at The Courts at Mayo Clinic Square. Registration will begin at 3:00 PM while the audition start time is at 4:00 PM.
Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
For the audition requirements, the Timberwolves Dancers are looking for applicants who are at least 18 years of age by July 13. You should have dance training or experience. Also, you need to have a flexible schedule to be able to accommodate rehearsals, games, and appearances. You should also be able to go on international trips when chosen. If you can't offer your total commitment to the team, please don't consider auditioning.

Wear and Bring the Following
For the dance attire, wear a two-piece (crop top and shorts/briefs), jazz/dance shoes or athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Please also wear performance-ready hair and makeup.
Bring your professional headshot and resume to the auditions. These will be submitted when you check-in or register on the day. Since the audition will last for hours, be sure to bring with you snacks, water, and touch-up materials (hair spray, mirror, etc.)
Overview of the Auditions
The 2019 Timberwolves open auditions will consist of 2 rounds. During round 1, you will present your dance technique, performance skills, and personality. For round 2, you will be taught a dance combination which you will perform for the judges. Finalists shall be announced by the end of the open auditions.

Prep Classes
GREAT NEWS! The Timberwolves Dancers are offering prep classes on May 30, June 13, and July 1. These prep classes are designed to help you gain a competitive edge on the big day. You will learn the team's choreography style, as well as receive feedback and additional tips. Grab the opportunity to meet current Timberwolves Dancers and participate in a Q&A session!
