The NBA Trail Blazers BlazerDancers will be holding their 2019 auditions very soon. Today, we’re giving you details of their upcoming tryouts. If you're planning to join this awesome team, here's a quick overview:
Preliminary auditions will be held on Sunday, July 28 at the PCC Sylvania Campus - Health Technology Building. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
Do you think you have what it takes to be part of the BlazerDancers this 2019? The BlazerDanzers are looking for participants who are 18 years old or older by September 15, 2019. If you are below 18 years old right now, have a parent or guardian sign your forms.
If you make it this year, you should be able to attend all home games, practices, training camps, and mandatory team events. Also, you should have reliable transportation.
What are the judges looking for in a candidate? They want to see that you have dance and performance skills, a good fitness level, and pleasing personal appearance.

Dance Audition Attire
Please wear the following to the preliminary auditions:
- Two-piece athletic attire
- Tights
- Any kind of dance shoes with non-marking soles (you can also perform barefoot)
What to Bring
Bring the following:
- Completed and signed waiver and application forms (click here)
- Current headshot
- Full body photo of yourself
- Water and snacks to consume during breaks
- Make-up and hair products for touch-ups
Overview of the Audition Process

The 2019 BlazerDancers auditions will be divided into 3 rounds, namely: PRELIMINARY ROUND (July 28), FINALIST INTERVIEWS (July 31 and August 1), and FINAL ROUND (August 4). Please take note that during the preliminaries, spectators are not allowed. You will learn various routines and shall perform them in a small group for the judges. About 30-40 participants will proceed to the Finals.
