The NBA Toronto Raptors North Side Crew Dance Team will be holding their 2019 auditions very soon. Today, we’re giving you details of their upcoming tryouts. If you're planning to join this awesome team, here's a quick overview:
2019 Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 20, at Scotiabank Arena, 40 Bay St, Toronto, ON.
Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
The Toronto Raptors are looking for male and female dancers who are at least 18 years old and with dynamic personalities and strong individual styles.
If you have a good background in dancing and are capable of learning choreography, this is your opportunity to be part of a great dance team. Take note that there is no minimum or maximum height requirement. You will be judged based on your dance ability, energy, enthusiasm, personality, and showmanship.
If you make the team this year, you need to commit to mandatory team rehearsals that will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays. There will be public events and appearances, team meetings, and more.

Dance Audition Attire
Wear the following:
- Dance attire that shows off your personal style
- Sneakers or dance shoes with non-marking soles
Overview of the Auditions
You will be taught a basic Hip-Hop/Jazz Funk routine which you will perform for the judges in a small group. If you get to advance to the next phase, you will perform a 4-6 eight counts of freestyle choreography that will highlight your strengths and specialties. Music will be provided for you. Please take note that the audition is closed to the public which means that spectators are not allowed.

About the North Side Crew Dance Team
The Toronto Raptors have replaced their all-female dance team, Dance Pak, with their new dance team - the North Side Crew. There are about 25 members for the 2018-2019 dance team.
