Auditions are fast approaching for the New Orleans Saints Cheerleaders. Commonly known as the Saintsations, they officially cheer for the NFL New Orleans Saints. Today, we’re giving you an overview of their 2019 tryouts. Excited? You should be!
Their 2019 auditions will take place on April 5, Friday, at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center (5800 Airline Dr., Metairie).

Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
The Saintsations require all applicants to be at least 18 years of age on the preliminary auditions date. Make sure to bring proof of age with a valid photo ID. You also need to be a high school graduate. There are no specific height and weight requirements.
The judges are looking for candidates who are energetic and outgoing performers. While dance skill is not a requirement, it puts a candidate at an advantage because it helps them give their best during the auditions. Note that you do not have to prepare a routine for the preliminaries.
If you make the team this year, you should be able to attend rehearsals which are held twice a week. There will be a minimum of 3 hours per practice. Also, you should attend home games and pre-season and playoff games.

The Saintsations require candidates to be in a solid black athletic wear (leggings with a black tank top).

The Saintsations will be holding workshops to help candidates prepare. They'll be providing valuable tips and teaching actual choreography. Dates include March 17, March 20, and March 30. Please note that workshops are only optional. Learn more about the workshops and sign-up right here.

The New Orleans Saints, also called the Saintsations, are one of the most reputable cheerleading squads in the NFL. They perform at football games, make appearances, do community outreach, and more. Each member is great at public speaking, dancing, and has a positive and outgoing attitude. In 2018, they had a total of 34 members.
