2020 NFL Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders Auditions Info

Auditions are fast approaching! I'm sure you're excited to become part of an NFL pro cheerleading/dance team. Is it the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders? Because they've already released this year's audition details. Here's what you need to know about the auditions and getting yourself prepared!
Audition Rounds and Other Details
Here are their 2020 audition dates and online registration details:
- Online registration deadline: Thursday, April 2, 2020 - Register here.
- Preliminary auditions:
- Saturday, April 4, 2020, at the State Farm Stadium – 1 Cardinals Drive, Glendale, Arizona.
- Mandatory check-in begins at 9:00 am, the event begins at 10:00 am, and approximately ends at 5:00 pm.
- Rookie candidates who will proceed to the semifinals will sign up for their interview time at the end of Preliminary Auditions on Saturday, April 4, 2020.
- After checking in, candidates/aspirants will be escorted to the lower level of the stadium where the preliminary audition events will be held.
- The preliminaries will consist of two rounds of competitions. Squad aspirants will be taught two dance combinations which will be performed by groups in front of the judges.
- Passing the preliminary auditions will advance you to the rookie candidate interviews and then to the semi-finals. In the semis, you will learn a third dance routine at the end of the day. Saturday’s events should conclude by 5:00 pm.
- Rookie candidate interviews - Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the State Farm Stadium – 1 Cardinals Drive, Glendale, Arizona
- Mandatory check-in begins at 9:00 am, the event begins at 9:30 am.
- Interviews for rookie candidates will be held before semi-final auditions by the Director of Cheerleaders & additional Cardinals personnel. Please wear your professional business attire.
- Semifinals - Sunday, April 5, 2020
- Following the interviews, all rookie candidates will check-in at 12:30 pm for the semifinals audition round at 1:00 pm. Warm-up and review the routines that were taught on Saturday. Wear dance audition attire.
- The semifinalists will introduce themselves to the judges and perform the routines in groups.
- Upon completion of interviews and routines, finalists will be announced.
- The entire event ends at approximately 4:00 pm.
- Final auditions - April 7 & 8, 2020
- The event starts at 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center (practice bubble) 8701 South Hardy Drive, Tempe, AZ 85284
- The finals will follow the format of Cardinals Cheerleaders rehearsal. This includes warming-up, technique learning, choreography review, small group performance, conditioning.
- There will be a focus on physical fitness, dance techniques, and routines from the auditions.

Qualifications and What the Judges Look for
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age by April 4, 2020
- Must be a high school graduate or have G.E.D. by June 2020
- Must be able to attend the entire audition process
- Must be available for rehearsals Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, April 2020 – March 2021
- Must be available for a Mini-Camp, May 8-10, 2020
- Must be able to attend all 2020 Arizona Cardinals home games
- Must have reliable transportation to rehearsals and events
- Must show valid identification
- Must provide a recent non-returnable headshot and resume 8” x 10”

Audition Attire and What to Bring
Please wear the following to the auditions:
- Crop/half top
- Shorts/Skirt
- Dance or athletic shoes
- Arrive with hair and makeup complete
- Arrive with layers/warm-ups over audition attire
Please bring the following to the auditions:
- Signed and completed waiver
- Copy of your professional resume
- An ID photo of 8” x 10” for identification purposes. Your current hair color/style should match the photo.
- Water & Snacks

Join to learn exactly what it takes to make the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders squad!
- Preparatory classes are on March 5, 12, 19, & 26, 2020 (All Thursdays).
- Prep classes will be held at Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center, 8701 South Hardy Drive, Tempe, Arizona 85284.
- Check-in begins at 6:00 pm. The class starts at 6:30 pm and the class ends at 9:00 pm.
- There is a $25.00 payment per class and attendees must pay in advance through online registration.
- Available for ages 18 and up.
- High school seniors that are under 18 and want to attend are to email [email protected] for their waivers.
- For prep class attire; wear your comfortable workout attire, athletic shoes are required. The dance surface is turf.
- Bring your own water bottles, jacket or sweatshirt, and a towel to sit on/work out with.

The Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders perform at all home games. The squad attends weekly rehearsals. The squad members also attend Community Events, Cardinals Charity Events, and Corporate Events throughout the year. The Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders are recognized for their professionalism, talent, and being positive role models in the Arizona community. Through their dynamic performances and positive ambassador work, the cheerleaders have established themselves as an integral part of the Cardinals organization.
