2020 NFL New Orleans Saintsations Cheerleaders Auditions Info

Auditions are fast approaching! I'm sure you're excited to become part of an NFL pro cheerleading/dance team. Is it the Saintsations Cheerleaders? Because they've already released this year's audition details. Here's what you need to know about the auditions and getting yourself prepared!
Audition Rounds and Other Details
Here are their 2020 audition dates:
- Preliminary auditions - Friday, April 17, at 5:00 pm at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center
- Finalist training camps - Sunday, April 19, and Monday, April 20
- Final auditions - Wednesday, April 22
- Event rehearsal and appearance - Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25

(Take note that the auditions are closed to the public. However, some rounds may be live streamed.)
Qualifications and What the Judges Look for
The Saintsations are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years old on the preliminary auditions. You must also be a high school graduate. Please provide proof of age.
When it comes to the judging criteria, the judges want individuals who are/possess the following:
- Outgoing
- Energetic
- Dynamic
- Dance skills
- Team players
- Can perform with precision
- Well spoken
- Professional
- Hardworking
- Public speaking skill
All individuals are welcome regardless of sex, ethnicity, color, disability, race, and sexual orientation. The Saintsations are a diverse team! There are no specific height and weight requirements.
While previous dance/cheer training/experience is not a requirement, those who have dance training are likely to have an advantage.

Audition Attire and What to Bring
Women should wear the following:
- Leggings with tank top
Men should wear the following:
- Joggers, running tights, yoga pants with tank top or t-shirt
Be sure to bring with you:
- Completed application and release forms
- Proof of age with valid photo ID
- Recent headshot (4x6 or larger preferred)
Auditions Workshops
Discover what it takes to be one of the Saintsations by signing up for their workshop classes! They are offering 5 workshops and the first one starts on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Each class costs $40. All 5 workshops cost only $175.
These classes cover last season's choreography, the actual routine that will be taught during the first round of the prelims, and more audition tips!

The Saintsations are the official cheerleading team for the NFL New Orleans Saints. One of the most reputable teams in the league, the Saintsations perform high-energy routines at football games, participate in community outreach, and make various appearances. They also travel abroad to perform for our troops and NFL games. The 2019-2020 team has a total of 32 members.
