2026 NBA Chicago Luvabulls Dance Team Auditions: Dates & Requirements

The Chicago Bulls Luvabulls are one of the most recognized professional dance teams in the NBA, with over 40 years of history performing at Bulls games and representing the city of Chicago. For the 2026–2027 season, the team is searching for talented, athletic, and confident dancers ready to take on both performance and ambassador roles.
Here’s a clear breakdown of everything you need to know:
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years old by May 16, 2026
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license or state ID
- Must have a flexible schedule for rehearsals, games, and appearances
- Must live in or be willing to commute to Chicago
- Must commit to a one-year contract if selected
- Must agree to follow team rules and guidelines
- Position is part-time and paid (includes rehearsals, games, appearances, etc.)
- Must be an experienced and versatile dancer
- Must be physically fit for high-energy routines
- Must be a Chicago Bulls fan

Audition Process Overview
1. One-Day Audition Clinic
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
Fee: $130
Eligibility: Ages 16+
Schedule Highlights:
- Warmups and technique training
- Street jazz master class
- Hip hop freestyle class and showcase
- Industry guest choreographers
- Q&A sessions with staff and dancers
- Optional audition at the end of the day
Important Notes:
- Wear outfits that reflect your dance style and personality
- Opportunity to meet coaches and current Luvabulls
- This is one of two chances to audition early
2. Open Call Audition
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Fee: $25
Location: TBA
Details:
- Open to all eligible candidates
- Another chance to advance if you did not attend or pass the clinic audition
- Judges select dancers to move to semifinals
3. Semifinal Round (Invitation Only)
Dates:
- Friday, May 29 (6:30 PM – 10:00 PM)
- Saturday, May 30 (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
What to Expect:
- Learn additional choreography
- Perform in small groups
- Participate in interviews
- On-camera and photo evaluations
Note: Must be available for both days
4. Final Audition (Invitation Only)
Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Final Requirements:
- Perform a 1-minute solo (any style)
- Perform open call choreography
- Perform semifinal choreography
- Showcase freestyle skills
Outcome:
- Final team announced shortly after
- Includes a team meeting for selected dancers
