  • Register by July 12, 2026
  • Be available for the entire audition process if selected

What the Warriors Dance Team Looks For

The Warriors Dance Team is searching for more than strong dancers. Judges are looking for well-rounded performers who can confidently represent the franchise in professional settings.

  • Athletic and physically prepared
  • Professional on and off the court
  • Strong team players
  • Excellent representatives of the Golden State Warriors organization

Audition Timeline

The audition process begins with online submissions and gradually advances through multiple in-person rounds.

July 12 – Applications Due

All applications, signed waivers, and headshots must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. PST on July 12. Only eligible applicants will move forward in the process.

July 15 – Choreography Released

Approved candidates will receive choreography links and instructions for the virtual audition round.

July 19 – Virtual Audition Videos Due

Applicants must submit choreography and introduction videos for evaluation. Judges will assess technical dance ability, execution, athleticism, power, and overall performance quality.

July 22 – Semi-Finalists Announced

Selected dancers will receive invitations to the in-person semi-finals in Livermore.

July 25 – Semi-Final Auditions

Semi-finalists will learn a Warriors-style hip-hop routine and perform both choreography and freestyle sections for the judges. Finalists will be announced by the end of the day.

July 27 to August 5 – Finalist Preparation

Finalists will participate in several important events, including:

  • Group interviews in Oakland
  • Bootcamp rehearsal in Walnut Creek
  • Professional headshots in San Ramon
  • Final rehearsal in San Francisco

Additional cuts may occur after the July 29 bootcamp rehearsal.

August 9 – Final Auditions

The final auditions will be held in person at Chase Center’s Thrive Plaza in San Francisco. Finalists will perform previous routines along with an individual solo or freestyle consisting of four 8-counts.

August 13 – Team Announcement

The official 2026–27 Warriors Dance Team roster will be announced on Warriors.com.

What to Wear

Prep Classes and Intensive Opportunities

The Warriors Dance Team also offers optional prep opportunities for dancers preparing for auditions.

The Prep Class Series costs $30 per class plus fees and includes warm-ups, choreography instruction, audition advice, and Q&A sessions with the coaching staff.

The Prep Intensive and Feedback Session costs $149 plus fees and allows dancers to learn choreography from Round 1 auditions while receiving direct coaching feedback. Some participants may even earn a special WDT Ticket, allowing them to skip the first round and advance directly to the semi-finals.

Team Commitment Expectations

Becoming a Warriors Dance Team member requires a major commitment throughout the NBA season. Team members are expected to:

  • Attend and perform at all home games
  • Participate during preseason, regular season, and possible playoffs
  • Attend rehearsals in Walnut Creek on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
  • Be available for media appearances, photoshoots, dance clinics, and community events

Additional rehearsals and appearances may also be scheduled throughout the season, especially during playoffs or special events.
