March 8, 2019, was International Women's Day. It's a day where we celebrate our achievements as women and strive for equality. The campaign theme was #BalanceforBetter.

Miranda reflects on International Women's Day as a proud Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. She starts off by saying that she's fortunate to be surrounded by women who are empowered. Women on the DCC squad play various roles -- some are entrepreneurs, nurses, teachers, moms, and more. But in the DCC squad, they're cheer sisters who support one another.

According to Miranda, becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader takes a woman who dreams big, works hard and isn't discouraged by those who don't believe in her strengths. She ends by saying that you should never settle for less or good enough.

Finding and Maximizing Your Strengths As An Aspiring Professional Cheerleader

Whether you audition for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader or another pro or semi-pro cheer team, leveraging your strengths is important if you want to achieve your goals. Here are my 3 tips for you to discover and make the most out of your strengths:

1. Recall your biggest wins in life.

Try to remember the accomplishments that made a huge impact. Did you join a dance competition and win? Did you successfully lose weight before through discipline and dedication? Were you invited as a speaker at an event? Did you do an amazing job completing an important project at work?

2. Apply your strengths.

Once you identify your strengths, use them to boost your pro cheer prep journey. For example, if your strengths are CURIOSITY and CREATIVITY, use those by researching essential details of your dream pro cheer team -- their style, staff members, dance moves, hair and makeup, and more. You can also use these strengths to come up with a fitness routine that challenges and excites you.

3. Have a mindset of growth.

Sometimes, we compare our strengths with others around us. As a result, we belittle our strengths. For example, you might say, "I'm a good dancer but not as good as they are!" Always have a growth mindset. A growth mindset knows that expertise is developed. It embraces imperfections and treats them as opportunities for learning. It doesn't seek approval from others because it knows its worth.
