Team Info

The cheerleaders for the Baltimore Ravens are called the "Ravens." In 2016, the squad had 33 team members which included 11 rookies.

The Ravens cheerleaders are comprised of a dance team and a co-ed stunt team.

Ravens 2016 Cheerleader Squad

Joining the squad will be a worthwhile, unforgettable experience. You get to cheer for your team in front of 70,000 fans at home games. You'll be exposed at high profile events and enjoy compensation for public appearances.

However, you need to decide whether committing a huge amount of your time for the team is something you're willing to make.

Here's why:

Practices will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from April to December (8 months).
In a year, you should ideally attend about 20 appearances.
All cheerleaders are required to perform at all 10 home games in one year.
5 hours before the kickoff, you should be at the game.

2017 Tryouts

The tryouts will consist of 5 rounds. You need to be present in all of these rounds.

To qualify, you should be at least 18 years old. You may be required to present your proof of age. In terms of height and weight requirements, there are no restrictions but you should be physically fit and healthy and able to run 2-3 miles.

DATES/TIMES:

March 4, 2017 (Saturday) at 9:30 AM at the Merritt Downtown Athletic Club (210 E. Centre Street, Baltimore, MD)
Registration time: 9:30 - 10:20 AM
Materials will be taught from 10:20 - 11:30 AM
Tryouts will start at 12:45 PM
Callbacks will be held the following day, March 5, 2017 (Sunday) at 11:00 AM at the Merritt Downtown Athletic Club.

Hair & Makeup

Wear your hair down without any hair equipment. Your makeup and hair should match your features.

How Will You Be Judged?

You will be judged based on the following criteria:

Physical talent
Dance ability
Personality
Appearance and poise

Prep Classes To Help You Get Ready

The Baltimore Ravens Cheerleading and Dance team will be holding prep clinics to prepare you for a successful audition. Here, you'll get the chance to meet the current squad and be taught some dance/stunt moves. Hair and makeup tips are also included.
