Team Info

In 2016, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad had 21 veterans and 16 rookies - a total of 37 members. One of the country's top pro cheerleading teams, the squad focuses on bringing in candidates that do not only demonstrate superior dance techniques, but also show personality and total commitment.

You get to travel to exotic locations for the annual calendar shoot, participate at community service events, showcase your talent at professional events, make lifetime friends, and MORE.

The 2017 tryouts will consist of the following rounds:

Application
Preliminary Audition
Semi-Final Audition
Personal Interview
Written Test
Final Talent Auditions

To qualify for the preliminary auditions which will be held on May 6, 2017, you should be at least 18 years old. Anyone with a tattoo can join the tryouts for as long as she is able to conceal it with available products like setting powder and bronzer.

You are not obliged to perform specific dance routines during the preliminaries. However, a combination of hip-hop and jazz is encouraged along with movements you like.

Preliminary Auditions: May 6, 2017 at the AT&T Stadium, 1 AT&T Way, Arlington, Texas
Semi-Final Auditions: May 7, 2017
Finalists Interview: May 12, 2017
Final Auditions: May 13, 2017
First Meeting with Training Camp Candidates: June 5, 2017

Hair & Makeup

Your hairstyle and makeup shades should match your facial features. Your hair shouldn't hide your face.

How Will You Be Judged?

You will be judged based on the following criteria:

Dance Technique
Enthusiasm
Poise
Showmanship
Personal Appearance
Figure
Personality
Energy
High Kicks
Splits (If you can't do splits during the tryouts, that's fine. You can work on that through continual stretching.)

Prep Classes To Help You Get Ready

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading and Dance team will be holding prep clinics to prepare you for a successful audition.You'll get to meet the squad's former cheerleaders who will teach you dance techniques and provide helpful pro cheerleading and audition insights.

Prep classes are now going on.

The classes started on January 6, 2017. All classes are held on Fridays at 7:00 PM.
