In 2016, the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleading & Dance Team had a total of 34 team members. Popularly known as the Jacksonville Roar, this cheerleading squad has been established in 1995. If you become part of this squad, you get to cheer during game days and participate in several events where you sign autographs and pose for pictures. The team holds practices several times a week in preparation for home games.

2017 Tryouts

Only candidates who are at least 18 years old or older by April 1, 2017 can join the 2017 cheer tryouts. All applications will be made online. You are not allowed to call the squad to join the auditions.
Chosen applicants should be able to travel to EverBank Field for all home games and rehearsals. One of the requirements is that you attend one of their audition classes before you join the squad's tryouts. The Jacksonville Jaguars cheer squad offers 2 classes and you are allowed to select only one. The class is offered for free.
The audition process consists of 5 rounds, namely:
- Preliminary auditions
- Semi-final auditions
- Finalist rehearsal
- Finalist interviews
- Final auditions

AUDITION CLASSES
- Available Dates: March 28, 2017 (Tuesday) or March 29, 2017 (Wednesday)
- Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
AUDITIONS
1. Preliminary auditions - Approximately 3 hours
- Date: April 1, 2017 (Saturday)
- Time: 8:30 AM check-in
2. Semi-final auditions - Approximately 3 hours
- Date: April 1, 2017 (Saturday)
- Time: 12:30 PM check-in
3. Finalist rehearsal
- Date: April 4, 2017 (Tuesday)
- Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
4. Finalist interviews
- Possible Date: April 4, 2017 (Tuesday) April 5, 2017 (Wednesday)

5. Final auditions
- Date: April 8, 2017 (Saturday)
- Time: 8:30 AM check-in

- Sleeveless crop top
- Dance shorts
- Skin-tone tights
- Jazz shoes or dance sneakers
