The Miami Dolphins Cheerleading and Dance Team is the professional cheer squad of the Miami Dolphins football league. They were originally known as the Dolphins Dolls. In 2016, the squad had 36 members. These cheerleaders perform at the Hard Rock stadium, travel worldwide, make appearances, and participate at community events.

2017 Tryouts

To qualify as a candidate for the this year's auditions, you must be a high school graduate by June 2017 and at least 18 years old by July 10, 2017. If you make the team, you are expected to attend all rehearsals for the entire season. You should also be able to relocate to South Florida.
The audition phases consist of the following:
PRELIMINARY AND SEMI-FINAL AUDITIONS:
Date: June 3, 2017 (Saturday)
Venue: Doctor’s Hospital Training Facility (formerly known as Miami Dolphins Training Facility) located at 7500 s.w. 30th street Davie, FL 33314
8:30 AM
If you pre-registered for the tryouts, you get to receive the first contestant numbers. Bring with you your application, bio sheet, and a photo of yourself at the registration table.
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
You will be taught an audition choreography. If you choose to join the Miami Dolphins' Audition Choreography Class which will be held on June 2, you will learn the same choreography.
10:00 AM
Before performing the audition choreography for the judges, you will be showcasing your very own 30-second freestyle routine.
12:00 PM
Call backs for the semi-final auditions will be posted outside the admittance gate. If you are one of the selected candidates, you re-enter the facility to re-register for the semi-final round.
After you re-register, the choreographer will add the kick line to the audition choreography taught earlier. Then you will be asked to perform the dance combination and the kick line in a group of 5. Selected candidates will stay for a short meeting regarding the final rounds of the auditions.
FINAL CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS:
Date: June 6 or 7 (Tuesday or Wednesday)
2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

What Will You Wear To The Auditions?
- Crop/half top with athletic shorts
- Nude/flesh colored tights or panty hose
- Dance shoes (sneakers, jazz shoes, character shoes, etc.)
2017 Clinic And Audition Choreography

To give you a competitive advantage for this year's tryouts, the Miami Dolphins Cheerleading and Dance team has prepared a 2-day audition prep and choreography class. You will be provided with tips to ace the tryouts. A dance choreography which you will be presenting during the preliminary round will be taught. These classes are optional.
