In 2016, the NFL Sea Gals Cheerleading & Dance Team had a total of 31 members. Aside from performing for thousands of fans and bringing energy to the stadium, the Sea Gals actively participates in professional events. They even have their own Show Group in which they feature a 60-minute show that comprises of costume changes, singing, and dancing. You can be part of this amazing NFL squad and establish great friendships with your teammates on and off the field.
As a Sea Gals cheerleader, you get the opportunity to travel with your cheer sisters and enjoy fitness photo shoots.

2017 Tryouts

Complete information about the tryouts and access to online registration can be found here: 2017 SEA GALS CHEERLEADING AUDITIONS
You are to complete this PDF registration form and have it printed so you can participate in the Sea Gals 2017 auditions. Audition fee is $20 (paid in cash).
To qualify as a candidate, you need to be a least 19 years old by April 1, 2017. For you to stay confident throughout the tryouts, be well-prepared. Plan, work hard, and train as much as you can and everything will be worth it.
The 2017 audition process will consist of the following rounds:
- Preliminary Round - In this round, you will perform a 1-minute freestyle dance. Music will be provided for you by the squad. If you succeed, you will be taught a dance routine for the Semi-Final Round (following day).
- Semi-Final Round - You will perform the dance routine which was taught at the end of the Preliminary Round. Schedule for individual interviews will be provided.
- Final Audition - Judging and your performance of the Final Audition dance will take place. At the end of the competition, names of the final squad members (24-32 members) will be announced.
AUDITION DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS:
PRELIMINARY ROUND
- Date: April 22, 2017 (Saturday)
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Venue: Virginia Mason Athletic Center
NOTE:
All former Sea Gals (excluding 2016 squad) must report at 12:30 PM. They will be taught a Semi-Final routine and go through Semi-Final competition on Sunday, April 23rd
SEMI-FINAL ROUND
- Date: April 23, 2017 (Sunday)
- Time: 1:00 PM
- Venue: Virginia Mason Athletic Center
FINAL AUDITION DANCE ROUTINE TUTORIAL SESSION (To be performed on May 7)
- Date: May 5, 2017 (Friday)
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Venue: CenturyLink Field West Club Lounge
FINAL AUDITIONS
- Date: May 7, 2017 (Sunday)
- Time: 3:00 PM (Check-in), 6:00 PM (Judging and live webcast starts)
- Venue: CenturyLink Field West Club Lounge
What Will You Wear To The Auditions?
- Short lycra type shorts
- Crop top/bra top
- Dance or tennis shoes
How Will You Be Judged?
You will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Physical appearance
- Showmanship
- Dance ability

Pre-Audition Workshops To Help You Get Ready

The Sea Gals cheerleading squad has organized a series of seven workshops (optional) to prepare you for the upcoming tryouts. 5 of these workshops are open workshops while the remaining 2 are intensive workshops. You may only join 1 intensive workshop but are free to join all open workshops.
These pre-audition workshops will be taught by Sea Gals director Sherri Thompson and choreographer Courtney Moore.
Cost:
- Open workshops: $30/workshop (no reservation required)
- Intensive workshops: $100 (reservation required)
The OPEN WORKSHOPS will cover the following:
- Dance steps
- Sample dance routine
- Q&A session about auditions
The INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS will cover the following:
- Sea Gal dance style technique
- 2 sample dances
- Hair and make-up tips
- Speaking
- Costume information
- Q&A session on auditions and personal attention
