How to Make a Positive Change in Your Life to Meet Your Goals

A woman can spend years dreaming to become a professional cheerleader but never realize that goal. In reality, a lot of people get stuck in the same place, same mindset, same way of doing things. It seems that there are just way too many reasons why something can’t be done - for example, a daily exercise or SIMPLY the act of filling out a dance team’s application form!

“Easy” is EARNED. Change is hard only in the beginning. And believe me, changing for the best doesn’t require an abrupt transition. In this blog post, we’ll explore 4 tips that will help you. After reading and applying them, you should be able to meet all the qualifications of a potential pro cheerleader.

Prepare and act!

Two stages in the process of change are preparation and action. If you’ve been contemplating all your life to get started, now is the time to create a plan in place. For example, you can make a timeline for your actual preparation until the day before the auditions. This preparation consists of your workouts, diet, and beauty. Once you have a plan, the next thing to do is take action.

Learn to appreciate what you are and have.

Most often, the reason people find it hard to begin change is that they’re not 100% convinced that they can. They’re too caught up with doubts about themselves. If you want positive change, don’t overlook the beautiful qualities you have - physical and mental. Are you an early riser? Are you passionate about the things you’re fascinated about? Start FEELING GOOD about yourself. Self-appreciation helps you improve your identity. Most importantly, it fuels action and success.

Take one small step.

Tiny, doable changes are all that take to move you towards your goals. You may not notice their impact in the present moment. Little steps may not matter to you because they don’t give you instant results. But just take a look back and you will realize that much has changed. So, just imagine yourself exercising 30 minutes each morning or after work several days a week. Take a picture before you start and months after you started and remained consistent. See the big difference.

Face your fears.

If you desire something with all your heart, you’ll be willing to be vulnerable. Facing your fears is a brave act because you’re allowing yourself to experience different emotions. At the end of the day, working through your fears helps you develop wisdom, compassion, courage, and resilience. You emerge as a better person - a potential pro cheerleader.
