Pro Cheer Health: Load Up On These 10 Natural Weight-Loss Friendly Foods

If you endeavor to get fitter this year because you plan to participate in pro cheer auditions, you're already aware that the process can be very meticulous. One of the secrets to losing weight is to start with what you get to eat daily at home. These are the 10 natural weight-loss friendly foods you should buy on your next trip to the market.

1. Whole Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein, selenium, and vitamin B5 (which helps synthesize and metabolize proteins, carbohydrates, and fats). It's also easy to cook! Just boil one or two in a pot of water for 10 minutes at medium-high heat, and you're good to go. Eggs are also one of the foods that easily give a feeling of fullness.

2. Leafy Greens

Kales, lettuces, spinaches, and cabbages - you name it. They're known all over the world as a great source of fiber, vitamins (A, C, and K), minerals (iron and calcium), and antioxidants (carotenoids prevent cancer). Leafy greens are good for the gut, heart, and makes the skin healthier. Not to mention, they can be eaten raw when incorporated in salads.

3. Avocados

Most fruits are sweet, and that means they have a high carb content. But for the avocado, that’s not the case. Instead, the avocado is rich in healthy fats. Avocados are particularly high in monounsaturated oleic acid, a type of oil that is very heart friendly. Like leafy greens, avocados are high in fiber and water. So get some avocados and serve them in a salad or smoothie. For the smoothie, blend a peeled avocado, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 cup filtered water, 1 tsp of stevia, and a pinch of sea salt together.

4. Cruciferous Vegetables

Veggie varieties of the Cruciferae are also low-calorie. Since they are rich in fiber, they replace higher calorie foods and make you feel fuller longer. This leads to a decrease in overall calorie intake and weight loss. Cruciferous veggies are also rich in folate. A healthy folic acid level in the body helps in the making of red and white blood cells in the bone marrow. Because of this, muscle inflammation is reduced, allowing you to enjoy longer workout times and recover easily.

5. Almonds

Almonds are richer in fiber and protein which makes them great weight-loss foods. Almonds are also packed with nutrients like magnesium and manganese that help in blood-sugar control and improving cholesterol levels. Studies show that eating 1.5 ounces (200 kcal) of almonds daily helps reduce belly fat.

6. Green Tea

The Japanese are known to be a society with the lowest obesity rate in the world, and they consume green tea. That’s one of the reasons why they easily lose weight and maintain their figure. Green tea contains catechins, an antioxidant that prevents the storage of belly fat. Increased fat burning and improved physical performance are also some of the benefits of drinking green tea which make it ideal for working out.

7. Black Coffee (without sugar and creamer)

Good for jumpstarting the metabolism, drink coffee without creamer or sugar. Black coffee suppresses appetite and increases fat burning. A single of serving of black coffee contains 2 calories so it's a good beverage for non-tea lovers.

8. Chia Seeds

Eat 2 tablespoons (1 oz/137 kcal) of chia seeds daily for chia seeds are one of the high-fiber and low-cal foods. Chia seeds can also absorb large amounts of water and they expand as well, leading to a greater feeling of satiety.

9. Coconut Oil

The virgin coconut oil is the world’s most weight-loss friendly fat. Ideal for use as cooking oil, include coconut oil in your pantry. Coconut oil has medium-chain triglycerides or MCT for short. MCT is a type of fat structure that aids in burning more calories.

Full-fat Yogurt

A great source of probiotic bacteria, a single serving of a 6-ounce full-fat yogurt per day helps digest and burn fat. Yogurts are already premade, cheap, and are easily available. So buy some when doing the groceries next time.

All of the foods mentioned above are medium to low in calories and give off a satiated feeling in the stomach. Not only that, there are plenty of recipes that you can make out of them - from salads to smoothies to flavorful sauteed meals.
