Self-Love: The Holy Grail Of Fat Loss

We've heard it time and again, "Exercise more. Eat less." We obsess about food and calories and following a certain diet. Yes, all of these strategies work to help you achieve the ideal weight your desire so you can succeed in your dream squad's cheer auditions. Congratulations if you've achieved major weight loss success!

If you are one of those aspiring professional cheerleaders who still struggles to achieve fat loss, this blog post is for you.

Today, I'm going to share with you a permanent strategy that has NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOD but addresses the factors that influence your relationship with food. This solution will help you build long-term healthy habits and free yourself from all these stressful weight loss rules that fail to give you the kind of satisfaction you want.

Fat loss is simply a result of LOVING yourself.

How many times have you exercised and dieted your way into a body you would hopefully love? Are you weighed down by your personal problems? Does criticism from other people drive you to work harder to lose weight?

The foundation of success in anything is learning to love yourself unconditionally.

If you've done a lot of yo-yo dieting and cycled between weight loss and weight gain, it's a clear sign that a real problem exists.

Perhaps you lack self-love and self-respect. You sabotage yourself with thoughts that you are not good enough to be a professional cheerleader, you are not beautiful enough, and you don't have the dance skill to qualify as a finalist. Sometimes, this failure to meet your needs is the result of worrying about things you cannot control such as opinions of other people like family and friends.

A lot of our attempts to get fit neglect the aspect of self-care. You dislike your body and that is why you want it to change. And when you finally get the results you wanted, you feel that it's still not enough. Why? Because you've never learned to accept yourself in the first place. You've never met your real needs.

If you are fixated on all these negativities nearly 100% of the time, you have to change.

Stop being dramatic and be proactive instead. I'm not saying that you should ignore every negative thought. What I'm suggesting is that you redirect your thoughts to a place of self-love. Ask yourself, "What do self-love and self-respect mean to me? How can I value myself more starting TODAY?"

Is it being more intentional about the choices you make? Is it embracing your individuality, your uniqueness, and your flaws? Is it following what your intuition tells you? You decide.

Success Strategies & Simple Ways To Love Yourself More

1. You are not hardwired for failure. You are the electrician of your life. You can rewire your response to negativity and set yourself up for success.

2. Don't compete with other candidates. Compete with yourself. Work your way towards becoming the best professional cheerleader you can be.

3. Remember that there is a huge difference between what you want now versus what you want the most. How will your body feel in minutes or hours after you make a particular choice?

4. Don't beat yourself up if you slip. Grow from your mistakes.

5. Focus on the process of losing weight, not the end result. Enjoy the journey. Celebrate the progress you make.

6. Create fitness rules that work for you. Everything about you is unique. Your body's response to a certain diet may be different from the response of others.

7. Goal setting will not lead you to where you want to be. It's your actions that matter.

8.Accept that you have all the resources you need to overcome your failures.

9. Focus on lifelong health, not temporary fat loss.

10. Start your fat loss journey by changing your mindset and attitude.
