Qualifications: Are You the Right Fit?
To join the Kings Dancers, candidates must:
- Be 18+ by October 1, 2025, and reside (or relocate to) the greater Sacramento area.
- Demonstrate advanced versatility in dance styles like hip-hop, jazz, and pom.
- Maintain athletic fitness to perform high-energy routines throughout the season.
- Commit to a one-year, part-time contract (paid position) for rehearsals, games, and appearances.
- Be a Kings superfan with a drive to represent the team on and off the court.
Audition Timeline: Mark Your Calendar
- June 1, 2025: Applications open.
- July 30, 2025: Deadline to submit applications, resumes, and headshots by 11:59 PM PT.
- August 1–3, 2025: In-person auditions at the Stockton Kings Practice Facility (1 Sports Parkway, Sacramento).
- Day 1 (Aug. 1): Round 1 cuts.
- Day 2 (Aug. 2): Rounds 2 and 3.
- Day 3 (Aug. 3): Finals, interviews, and rehearsals.
- August 7–10, 2025: Mandatory mini-camp for selected finalists.

- Women: Form-fitting dance attire (crop top, shorts), performance-ready hair/makeup, non-marking sneakers, and rubber-soled heels (Burju recommended).
- Men: Stylish athletic wear allowing movement, non-marking sneakers.
- Interviews: Business attire (e.g., blazers, slacks, dresses).
