The Best Pieces Of Workout Equipment For Your Home

You know what’s the best thing about fitness? You can do it right from your home — even with a very small space. If you don’t have a huge budget or you need to stay home more often for the kids, no worries. The right fitness tools are the answer. Below, I’ve rounded up several options that you can use. These items should help you reach your fitness audition goals or maintain your pro cheer figure.

1. Skipping rope

A skipping rope or jump rope is a great calorie burner. Use it as an alternative to running or jogging. Several benefits of jump rope workouts include improved coordination, increased bone density, and better heart health!

2. Non-slip yoga mat

A yoga mat isn’t just for yoga. It’s definitely useful for several exercises such as planks, crunches, burpees, and other HIIT workouts. You can use it for warming up and cooling down. If you decide to workout at the park or beach, you can simply roll the mat and take it with you.

3. Kettlebell

This is my third most favorite tool. Kettlebells are beneficial for building up your muscle and strength. There are plenty of kettlebell workouts that target all areas of your body — your shoulders, arms, hips, and legs. Check out these 14 kettlebell exercises and how to do them properly.

4. Resistance bands

A resistance band is basically an elastic band that varies in size, resistance level, and color. They’re useful for endurance workouts that target your glutes, hamstrings, and arms. When you prefer not to carry weights or you don’t have heavy equipment at home, these bands give you a good workout.

If you want some ideas, here’s a list of 15 resistance bands that certified trainers recommend.

5. Dumbbells

Dumbbells are great for joint isolation workouts. For example, shoulder raises, bicep curls, and overhead triceps extensions. It’s a myth that maximum strength training can only be achieved with dumbbells. Here’s a tip: Make sure to choose dumbbells of the appropriate weight. Start light and work your way up.

6. Exercise bench

An exercise bench is another must-have on your home workout equipment list. You’ll be able to get a full-body workout with or without the use of dumbbells. You’ll want a bench with multiple incline angles to provide more variation to your workouts.

7. Stability ball

Want to get more out of your muscle-building workouts? Get a stability ball. Most people think that a stability ball is just for improving your core. The reality is, it can be used for your entire body. Try these stability ball workouts — Pike and Twist, Bear Planks, Half Moon, and Pec Squeeze.
