Top Fitness Hacks That Make Exercising Easier

So, you have a whole year until the next pro cheerleader auditions. To make the most of it, you can start working on your fitness goals now because killer abs and toned arms aren’t made overnight. But how can you make exercise easier so you will always be motivated to do it? Read on for some inspiration:

1. Sign up for a Marathon/Triathlon

Pro cheerleaders need a high level of endurance to make it through rigid training and schedules. Work on your endurance by signing up for a local marathon or triathlon.

While you train for your first 5k or 21k marathon, you build up the excitement within you. No longer are you just going out for a morning jog, but you are looking forward to a big event and the completion of something big. It’s good preparation for when you start pro cheerleader training for the Super Bowl.

2. Do Partner Exercises

Engage an aspiring pro cheerleader like you to work on your fitness goals together. It can be highly-motivational to work out with a partner. Studies show that working out with a partner can motivate you to exercise more often.

You can do a twist on your usual workouts from planks to yoga when you have a partner. You won’t even notice that you’ve been working out for 45 minutes to an hour already.

3. Make it a Family Activity

Once you start pro cheerleading, you will need to make sacrifices when it comes to your family. You won’t be able to spend as much time as you dedicate more hours to training, keeping in shape, and maintaining your fabulous pro cheerleader look.

So while you’re still preparing for the next pro cheerleader audition, make the most of your time with your loved ones, including your pets.

Make exercise time for quality bonding. Bike or run at local parks and other places you’ve never been before. It can be a fun experience as you explore nearby cities too.

4. Get into Sports

Cheerleading is a sport and pro cheerleaders are athletes too. But while you’re on the waiting list, you may want to get involved in other sports too—just for the fun of it, and to get some exercise too.

Whether you play individual sports like swimming, dual sports like tennis, or team sports like volleyball, you will get sweating and toned without the monotonous cycle of workout reps and gym sessions.

If hitting the gym at 10 o’clock doesn’t really excite you, perhaps a badminton game over the weekend with your high school friend will.

5. Tap the explorer in you

If you’re the adventurous type, then go out in nature to sneak in an exercise. Hiking and mountain climbing are great ways to tone those arms, shoulders, hamstrings, and calves.

You will enjoy a more toned and defined body without using gym equipment.

Plus, you get to explore new scenery and a calming view when you finally reach the zenith.

6. Exercise in front of the mirror

It’s one thing to visualize yourself working out and another thing to see it in front of you. When you see how strong you are and how hard you’re working for your pro cheerleader fitness goals, you will keep at it no matter what.

7. Make it Quick

Don’t really enjoy long workouts? If you want to make exercise a habit, go for intense workouts at a shorter period. High-Intensity Interval Training can take 7 to 10 minutes to complete. Include a couple of strength training exercise and you’re good to go. Swap your 30-minute moderate workouts for 15-minute HIIT workouts, 5 days a week to achieve your fitness goals.
