Why Failure Is Essential To Your Pro Cheer Success
Have you been rejected at the auditions? Was it once in the past, this year, or multiple times already? You’re probably thinking of throwing in the towel and pursuing something else instead. But, what if I told you that your failures increase your chance of succeeding next time? Now, you’re wondering how so. Let’s skip the roundabouts and get straight right to it.
1. It welcomes growth as a member of the pro cheer community
We fail all the time and we’ve been experiencing it ever since birth. That’s what causes us to grow and mature as human beings. From taking a bite at an onion to not taking the auditions seriously enough.
These are the things in life that open opportunities for us to be a better version of our past selves and it is the first step to successfully achieving our aspirations. If you understand what I’m saying here, you would make it a part of your to-do list to research more about the pro cheer audition judging criteria.
2. It teaches you to value your time and efforts
Part of being a better you than yesterday’s version is treating your time and hard work like gold. Before, procrastination such as skipping dance practice sessions for social media browsing was fine. But then, you realized that you really need to make time and the effort to polish your performance in order to advance through the audition rounds.
3. It changes your mindset to be resilient and courageous
You fail only when you allow fear to stop you from taking risks. I’m telling you now that if you’re thinking twice about auditioning for your dream team or fail on your first audition, you’re not going to really be a bonafide pro cheerleader if you let fear and discouragement win.
4. It provides you with the experience and knowledge for future endeavors
The best thing about experiencing failure is you’ll know what your mistakes were and how to avoid them in the future. In the pro cheer community, it can mean following a healthy sleeping schedule, working out as part of your daily routine, having the time to prepare healthy meals, and buying all your fitness and health necessities.
5. It makes the feeling of success much rewarding
Winning in life all the time is boring. But for those who have repeatedly fallen and never gave up, the feeling of victory is something you would love to savor for as long as you want. So how does this apply to members of the pro cheer community?
Once you receive the message that you’ve made your dream team after so much struggle, you will do everything in your ability to preserve that title and position. And that will teach you to even be a better pro cheerleader than you were before.
6. Overcoming failure makes you more confident
Lastly, winning against fear, discouragement, and your past self makes you proud of yourself. That sense of pride is your greatest source of self-confidence and audition judges always favor the daring aspirants.
The greatest failure a person can experience is not making mistakes in life. It is living and dying with defeat. Today, shrug your fears and discouragements off. As long as you breathe and your passion for professional cheerleading isn’t gone, never give up on the auditions until you succeed.
