2022 NFL New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe Audition Announcement

Auditions are fast approaching! I'm sure you're excited to become part of an NFL pro cheerleading/dance team. Is it the Saints Cheer Krewe? Because they've already released this year's audition details. Here's what you need to know about the auditions and getting yourself prepared!
Audition Rounds and Other Details
Check out the team’s 2022 audition/casting call schedule:
- Cheer Preliminary rounds - May 20th, Friday @ the Ochsner Sports Performance Center
- Dance Preliminary rounds - May 21st, Saturday @ the Ochsner Sports Performance Center
- Finalist training camps - May 22nd and 23rd @ the Ochsner Fitness Center, Harahan
- Final Auditions - May 25th @ the Ochsner Fitness Center, Harahan

Qualifications and What the Judges Look for
The New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe is seeking for team members who are talented, have speaking skills and a natural ability to connect with fans, are open-minded, athletic, and are willing to meet the demands of the job.
Furthermore, applicants should be at least 18 years old on or during the preliminary auditions. Be sure to provide proof of age and a valid photo ID. When it comes to your previous experience, note that professional training is not necessary. However, the judges will be considering the following qualities:
- Performance ability, quality, and technique
- Personality
- Public speaking skills
- Poise

If you’re selected for the 2022 team, know that the team will be having practices weekly (twice a week, and a minimum of three hours per practice. You will be paid hourly for all your hours at work.

Audition Attire and What to Bring
All auditionees can wear jumpsuits and solid black athletic wear. Furthermore, they are advised to avoid wearing ponytails, top knots, etc. The team has provided more attire details specific to male dancers & tumblers, female dancers & tumblers, and stunters here.
Note that you’re not allowed to bring your family members and friends, as well as a prepared routine. Routines will be taught during the audition process itself.
Available Workshops
Great news! If you’re looking for workshops to join, the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe offers three workshops starting on May 1st. These workshops will put you at a huge advantage so that you can be fully ready on the BIG DAY. As a bonus, they’ll teach you the actual audition choreography.

The New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe is the official cheerleading team of the World Champion New Orleans Saints. This diverse team comprises entertainers skilled at dancing, public speaking, and performing stunts. Formerly, the team was called the Saintsations but this was changed in December 2021.
