5 Ways to Stop Limiting Yourself (And Do the Things You Must Do)

I know how many times you've imagined yourself dancing on the sidelines with your pro cheer sisters. You've held on to your dream for years and now is your chance to achieve it.

But the problem is, you're feeling uncomfortable to this new process - working out your body, mastering Jazz and Hip-Hop dances, and attending speech classes. Often, you doubt your abilities.

"Will I really make my dream team?"

Today, I will show you simple ways to stop limiting yourself so you can have the courage and perseverance to do what you need for this audition prep journey!!

1. Accept that change causes discomfort.

When you rise beyond your current state, things are not going to be easy. You will experience a lot of situations that push you. Difficult situations also force you to consider options that you wouldn't normally think of. They unleash your creativity.

2. Celebrate your own success!

Limiting beliefs are negative things you say to yourself to justify why something didn't work out for you. The worst limiting belief is that someone is way, way better than you are. Every person has their own form of success, and it doesn't have to be the way you envision it. Focus on your own success and appreciate it, no matter how little.

3. Every experience is useful

The worst thing you can do in an undesirable situation is to label that situation as unnecessary or useless. Every situation, positive or negative, has a valuable message for you. To leverage that situation to your advantage, you need to figure out what that message is and use it to improve your practice.

For example, if you weren't able to do your gym workout for some reason, it could tell you that you need to equip yourself with alternatives to keep moving. Inconveniences are not an excuse to give up on your goals.

4. Try something new each day.

When you wake up in the morning, make a decision to try a brand new challenge. Exercise your courage muscle! You'll need a lot of courage when you're a pro cheerleader. Consider an exercise move you've never tried, or memorizing 10 facts about your dream team in 30 minutes.

5. Ask and you will receive.

You have not because you ask not. A lot of people lose their opportunities to succeed because they do not look for and ask for help. Help is everywhere in professional cheerleading.
