8 Things to Do Under 20 Minutes to Jumpstart Your Pro Cheer Day

Jumpstarting your day doesn’t always mean completing a full coursed workout routine every morning. Sometimes, all it takes is just you focusing to complete one challenging activity within 20 minutes and getting all-sweaty afterward.

The best thing about these 20-minute activities is that they can increase your physical activity. They’re useful especially when you’re short on time or have important pro cheer tasks to do in the morning but don’t want to skip a sweat session.

Need some ideas for morning tasks that are doable in 20 minutes or less? Read on to find out!

1. Vacuum your home

You may not have had the time to remove all the accumulated dirt in your abode during the weekends due to some planned self-care activities. The good thing is, you can slip the task in after you’ve made your bed and before preparing your breakfast.

Vacuum your carpets and couch of dust and your pet’s dander. You can also wipe your shelves shiny. If you can’t clean everything during that 20-minute period, that’s okay. Just resume tomorrow.

2. Mop the floor

After the dust in your home is dealt with, proceed to mop the floor. This household task is best done in the morning because you can easily see the dirt with the assistance of sunlight. And when you come home, you won’t feel so stressed to see that the majority of your place is sparkling.

3. Do a closet purge

We are all guilty of messing up our wardrobe arrangement due to a morning rush or OOTD indecision moments. And fixing the aftermath is seldomly done because we only think about it when putting in freshly washed clothing. Mornings are the perfect time to fix the mess. Plus it’s also a great opportunity to discard some clothes you’ll longer need while picking your OOTD.

4. Run a quick errand

What’s that cooking ingredient from your kitchen that needs resupplying again? Write that down and quickly go to the nearest store that sells the product. Better yet, jog or cycle to the place for a quick calorie-burning session.

5. Clean your bathroom

You know what they say about women’s bathrooms: “Hair, hairpins, and beauty products everywhere!” If you think your bathroom needs a little maintenance, ready all your cleaning materials the night before.

Then the next morning, clear all the clogged drains of hair, arrange your beauty products, and scrub every white ceramic squeaky clean. You’d feel very accomplished to take a bath in a place that looks like it’s recently built.

6. Clean your makeup brushes

Speaking of cleaning and beauty products, you can also take 20 minutes of your morning time to kill the bacteria living in your makeup paraphernalia. Read this article as your guide.

7. Do gardening

If you’re looking to spruce up your home with an eco-friendly theme, adding some potted plants is the best thing you can do. Start by taking care of at least one pot of orchid. When you’ve gotten the hang of plant care, add more pots to your collection. You’ll be healthier in the long run because potted plants are great air purifiers — perfect for doing yoga in an apartment or condo.

8. Rake the leaves

To pro cheer community members living in the suburbs, the fall season offers many opportunities for physical activities. One of these is raking fallen leaves. You can then put the leaves in a compost pit which you can use as fertilizer for a garden later on.

One important tip to sweat heavily after a 20-minute morning task is to finish it as fast as you can. The faster you move, the more calories you’ll burn. But remember to do one thing at a time so you can stay focused on your activity.

When your task is done, take a cold shower to cool your body down and signal your brain into a state of high alert. Prepare and eat your breakfast. Then, welcome your day with happiness and vigor.
