Grow Your Hair Faster Naturally With These 5 Tips
Dancers and professional cheerleaders have short or long hair. If you desire the latter, it’s important that you know what stimulates hair growth as well as hair care tips. After all, having long hair can give you so many hairstyles to experiment with.
Believe me, the process of growing your hair length doesn’t have to take forever. Health and beauty professionals recommend some tips and we’re here to reveal them to you. Read the list below.
Feed your hair from the inside.
In other words, eat a healthy diet. A healthy diet includes mostly whole, unprocessed foods. When it comes to your macronutrient intake, you need to check your protein intake — it’s not just for fat loss, muscle repair, and physical performance — it’s essential for hair growth as well. Aim to consume at least 30 grams of protein in every meal.

Get regular trims.
Trimming your hair doesn’t necessarily make it grow faster since it won’t affect your hair follicles. However, it can help your hair appear longer by snipping off split ends and damaged hairs. It will also add volume and shine to dull-looking hair.
Experiment with caffeine-infused products.
One study mentioned that caffeine has hair growth-promoting effects on both males and females. In addition, females show higher sensitivity to caffeine than males. This theory that caffeine stimulates hair growth is probably why you’re seeing caffeine-infused shampoos, conditioners, and hair oils.

Give your scalp a massage.
Research shows that scalp massage can stimulate hair growth by stretching the cells of your hair follicles. In addition, it can help thicken and strengthen your hair. You can do a scalp massage while you’re shampooing your hair. Use your fingertips to gently massage your shampoo for about 5-10 minutes. When not bathing, you may use a scalp massaging tool or do a traditional scalp massage (using your fingertips) while applying an essential oil like lavender.
Eat fatty fish or consume an omega-3 supplement.
Fish oil supplements and fatty fish — like salmon, sardines, mackerel, and herring — contain omega-3 fatty acids which are known to support healthy hair growth, among other things like better heart health. In fact, a study done in 2015 showed that adult women who took a fish oil supplement daily had greater hair growth and reduced hair loss.
Final Thoughts
If you’re getting your hair to grow longer for a future dance or pro cheerleading audition, make sure use these strategies. Things like increasing your protein intake and supplementing with omega-3s will also give you the added benefit of improved health as an athlete and performer. You may also need to dial back on chemical treatments to avoid further damage (if you have it already) and practice other hair care tips.
