How to Overcome Any Challenge in Your Pro Cheer Prep
Many candidates, when preparing for professional cheerleading auditions, face difficult situations. Challenges can range from a lack of confidence in one's abilities to negative remarks from loved ones to a lack of prep time due to a busy schedule. These tough parts of reaching a woman's pro cheer goals are what can lead her to give up. Her inner voice tells her, "This is too hard. Let's not push through."
It's important to remember that challenges are everywhere. If you're going to give up anyway, know that in next your goal, you will encounter a different set of challenges. So why not push through the struggle of today and find out the result of your hard work? No matter the result, it's going to be worth it, for sure.
Today, I want to share how you can deal with tough times in your pro cheer prep and survive:
Question your beliefs.
When faced with a difficult situation, negative thoughts can always cross your mind. And if you believe these negative stories about your worth as an aspiring pro cheerleader, most likely, that has become your pattern of thinking. I like what Aristotle said, "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." You have a choice whether to believe these negative thoughts or not. I want you to ask yourself, "What does my future look like if I let go of these beliefs?"

Be solution-oriented.
A solution-oriented pro cheer candidate is one that takes a proactive approach in dealing with problems. Instead of expanding these problems and allowing them to affect her day, she finds the next best thing she can do to get past these problems. She sees them as opportunities to be better. If one solution isn't possible, she identifies alternatives.
Focus on what you can control.
The truth is that there are plenty of things that you have no control over in your journey to becoming a professional cheerleader. These uncontrollable factors include the judges' decision, demands from your family, school, and career, and all other things that transpire in your day. STOP WORRYING about them. Instead, put your energy and enthusiasm on what you can control. What tools and resources are within your reach which you can use to prepare better? How can you make today the best day? How can you react to a certain situation or remark from another person?
