How to Stay Enthusiastic While Improving Yourself for a Future Audition

Are you desperately trying to accomplish your mini-goals to boost your chances of making your dream pro cheer team? You must feel burned out already. If you're working from a place of negativity, you're more likely to quit before you see results. 

Let me tell you this: Even when you're crazy busy, you can remain enthusiastic. Being enthusiastic about a dream triggers creative problem-solving. It keeps you motivated and focused on your pro cheer audition goals. Enthusiasm pushes you to take action!

Today, I want to share with you some tips to stay enthusiastic about your journey as an aspiring professional cheerleader. You can prepare for the auditions with joy and positivity. Let's make it exciting!

1. Have a clear pro cheer audition goal at the start of the day.

Be intentional about it. Make sure to wake up in the morning knowing what you're supposed to accomplish. You decide what mini-goal you're going to reach today. Is it reading five pages of a pro cheer audition prep book? Researching the style of your dream team? A 45-minute cardio and strength training workout session? 

2. Set realistic expectations for yourself.

Success experiences are necessary to stay joyful in your journey. Create these experiences by being realistic about what you can accomplish within a certain period. You can't achieve high kicks overnight. You cannot master the art of public speaking in one week. Take small but consistent steps.

3. If you're lacking enthusiasm, explore the reason behind it. 

Do you feel off today? Are you feeling unmotivated? You might want to figure out why. Maybe you lacked quality sleep last night, had a negative experience at work or ruined your healthy diet. Knowing why you lack enthusiasm helps you find ways to deal with it. If you're really serious about pro cheer auditions, you must try your best to not let anything distract you from your dream.

4. Get feedback on your progress.

It's important to have someone acknowledge your effort. Let it be the right person. If you need feedback about your fitness, get it from a professional trainer or a fitness buddy. If it's about your dancing, feedback should come from a former/current pro cheerleader or a dance instructor. Recognition and approval motivate you to give your best performance.

5. Expect good things to come your way!

Do you have the kind of mindset where you don't want to expect anything to avoid disappointment? Today is the day you start believing in good things. Life will be gracious to you if you let it. Expecting good things gives you the determination and willingness to work towards your goals. Negative thoughts will drain you. They leave you low.
