If you've been dedicating so much time and effort to your workouts and yet you fail to see significant results, remember that the devil is in the detail. You might be making some mistakes or you need to switch things up. It's time to look at your workouts from a new perspective and turn them into something that will get results. Here are tips to make any workout more effective! 

Always start by warming up.

A warmup might not be as crucial as you think, but it can increase your workout’s effectiveness. Your muscles, ligaments, and tendons are like rubber bands – they become stiff and less flexible when they're cold. This is why it's important to stretch them before you start a workout.

A good warmup routine increases blood circulation to those muscles, which means that your blood will be carrying oxygen and nutrients throughout your body. It also prepares you for exercise by elevating the heart rate, which makes your heart stronger and your lungs more efficient.

Put on some pump-up music.

Studies show that listening to pump-up music can improve sports performance. The right music can help you train harder and longer, and make you more motivated to workout. Moreover, it can make you forget about your fears and give you the confidence to achieve your dance and pro cheerleading goals. 

Here's a tip: If you're looking to do cardio, pick songs with a tempo of around 120 beats per minute, which is the right range for quick, steady walking. If you're looking to lift weights or do powerlifting, aim for 130 to 150 beats per minute.

 

Eat carbohydrates before working out. 

The timing and type of carbohydrate, as well as the level of your exercise intensity, all affect how your body will use them. Eating carbohydrates before exercise can increase performance, especially if your workout is high-intensity. The main reason for this is that carbohydrates are the body's main source of fuel for intense exercise. In fact, if you don't eat carbohydrates before you exercise, your body will use protein from your muscles to make new glucose, which is not a good thing.

If you workout at a lower intensity, then you should consume around 1.2 grams of carbs per kilogram of body weight. However, if you are working out at a higher intensity, you should consume around 2.5 grams of carbs per kilogram of body weight. This allows you to work out longer and harder.

Get a good night's sleep. 

Sleep is probably the most important part of any workout routine. If you’re not getting enough quality sleep, you’re sure to notice it in your performance. Sleep is also important in preventing weight gain, and it’s important in maintaining your muscle mass. Losing just one hour of sleep can have negative effects on your body and mind. Remember that sleep is a time when your body recovers, repairs itself, and restores energy levels.
