Qualifications, Requirements, and What the Judges Look for
To be able to audition for the NBA Orlando Magic dancers, you must be 18 years old or older on the audition day. Dance training is absolutely important. Get dance training as early as now if you haven’t yet, with a focus on Jazz and Hip-Hop.
Make sure that you’re available throughout the audition process. If you get chosen as one of the NBA Orlando Magic Dancers, have a flexible schedule. That way, you can be present on all rehearsals, home games, appearances, and other pro cheer activities.
The judges want pro cheer candidates who are physically fit, have dance skills, full of energy, professional, mature, and committed. If this is you, then you deserve to be one of the 20 lovely Orlando Magic dancers for 2019-2020!

The Orlando Magic dancers… they’re one of the hottest dance teams of the NBA. Being a Magic Dancer means that you get to perform for more than 18,000 fans during home games. As a future Magic dancer, you can expect great opportunities such as traveling, participating in charitable causes to make a difference, beauty makeovers, and more. Team members are 20-30 years of age. As a dancer, you may have a full-time or part-time professional job. Just make sure to keep your evenings free for rehearsals and game nights.
