6 Ways Working Out Makes You Gorgeous
When trying to reach a goal, do you focus on the painful challenges that you have to go through or do you focus on the good side? Let’s be more specific here: To most women who aspire to audition for a pro cheerleading squad and need more work in terms of improving their fitness, exercising is the hardest part of the journey.
One method I used and recommend to you is to remember how working out boosts your beauty. And it does in many ways. We’re going to explore them today and hopefully knowing them helps you stay more motivated.
1. Working out clears your skin.
Some people think that getting your face all sweaty causes acne. But the opposite is true. Touching your face and wearing heavy makeup during a workout is what messes up your skin and not the workout itself. In fact, exercises increases blood flow to your skin, giving it a healthy post-workout glow. It detoxes the pores so that impurities are flushed out.

2. Produces healthier hair.
Working out, especially when combined with a nutritious diet, produces a healthier scalp, thus better-looking hair! If you’re struggling with dry scalp, exercise increases the production of natural oils. Exercise also promotes hair growth in that it increases blood flow to the scalp.
3. Helps you sleep better at night.
Having a good night’s sleep seriously affects your appearance. A lack of sleep causes dark undereye circles. Existing skin issues may also worsen (for example, if you’ve got pimples) since the repair process is slowed down and cortisol levels may rise, promoting inflammation. So you see, women don’t call beauty sleep for nothing. And when it comes to that, working out promotes a solid snooze.
4. Improve your posture.
Good posture doesn’t only improve your balance and reduce stress on the spine, it also makes you look thinner. One of my pieces of advice for pro cheer candidates is to stand tall and avoid slouching. Now the best thing about specific exercises like yoga is that it boosts your posture. Try poses like the mountain pose, cat cow pose, and downward facing dog pose.

5. Reduces visceral fat.
Visceral fat takes a toll on your appearance in such a way that it releases hormones that promote inflammation. The effect is a slowed metabolism and difficulty in losing weight. But losing visceral fat isn’t as hard as one might initially think. It’s found inside your abdominal cavity and wraps around your internal organs. Since it gets formed easily, it’s also the easiest to lose. HIIT exercises are great for burning visceral fat. Previously, we wrote up a guide on some HIIT workouts you can do in your living room.
6. Reduces puffiness.
Bags or swelling under the eyes can be remedied with regular exercise. Exercising reduces eye puffiness by promoting better lymphatic flow. The job of your lymphatic system is to eliminate toxins and avoid water retention. Feel and look more vibrant each day by working out!
