9 Good Habits to Follow So You Will Never Miss Important Pro Cheer Team Events

Pro cheerleading isn’t just about dancing in the arena for your team’s home games. There are more responsibilities to fulfill such as attending community events, public appearances, charity events, squad rehearsals, overseas appearances, and swimsuit calendar shooting.

While some of these events aren’t mandatory for you to attend, they are still important opportunities to grab because they can help you build your portfolio as a performer, beauty queen, career woman, or goodwill ambassador.

Yet, there are certain reasons why we tend to miss them. And the most common one is a lack of preparation. The solution? Start with the right habits. In this article, learn what habits to develop so you’re always game in taking career-advancing opportunities your squad can give you.

1. Sleeping and waking up early

By following a habit of going to bed and waking up early, you’ll have more time to prepare in the morning for the tasks ahead and avoid being late where you’ll go.

2. Having all your cosmetics ready at home and in a go-bag

Buying all the cosmetics you need and putting them all on your vanity dresser will make it easy for you to put on makeup after a shower. A makeup go-bag will also simplify retouches, especially in the midst of home game performances or community appearances.

3. Keeping sanitary products wherever you go

Periods can be unpredictable. They can happen at the most crucial times of your pro cheer career. While it’s common sense as a woman to wear pads with tampons when you’re expecting a red tide, keeping extras will guarantee you to have spares whenever you need to change due to heavy flow.

4. Taking immunity-boosting supplements

Humans are fickle beings. If other people, animals, or the environment don’t pose a threat to our health, elements not visible to the naked eye will. That’s why you should take supplements rich in Vitamin C to boost your immunity against illnesses caused by viruses and bacteria.

5. Staying connected with other squad members

A group of pro cheerleaders is called a squad for a reason. You all share the task of performing for your home team. That’s why staying connected with others is essential so you can quickly get updates on changes in practice schedules, meetup times, and other upcoming events. If you’re an introvert or shy, start improving your social skills. It is a requirement for all pro cheerleaders.

6. Avoiding stress

Stress leads to emotional and mental problems such as anxiety and depression. Then these problems will compel you to stay at home and miss a lot of things. As much as possible, avoid toxic and stress-inducing people and environments.

Don’t engage in social media content that promotes conflict. Procrastination is also a leading cause of stress, so use your schedule well to get important things done first. Then have that extra time for things that bring your joy and relaxation.

7. Exercising regularly

Regular workouts increase your energy levels and help you stay that way. They will also keep you fit so you can have a body to be confident of. In general, exercise is a good source of optimism and motivation for joining the festivities your squad is involved in.

8. Eating healthy foods

Like vitamin supplements, healthy foods are a huge contributor to keeping your body healthy from sickness. They also help prevent weight gain. Although it’s good to eat some mainstream foods for your cheat meals, you should make good carbohydrates, protein, and fiber your staple.

9. Preparing everything you need on the night before a big day

Got a squad rehearsal, live performance, swimsuit shooting, or charity event to attend tomorrow? Ready the clothes you need to wear for them. Not only that, but make a habit of preparing your meals, snacks, and beverages which you will need to stay energized for a long pro cheer event.

Being physically, emotionally, mentally, and tactically ready for anything is the #1 habit successful people possess. What aspects of your pro cheer life do you often find yourself unprepared for? Start working on them today to turn these weaknesses into your strengths.
