Skin Healing Foods You Must Include in Your Pro Cheer Diet

Here at Pro Cheer Life, we always emphasize the importance of nourishing the body from the inside out. While pro cheerleaders need to learn some beauty hacks for flawless skin, they must not forget that nutrition affects skin health. As the saying goes, “You are what you eat.”

If you are having skin breakouts, chances are, you’re often consuming foods that cause inflammation. It’s time to ditch the sugar and eat these skin healing foods instead. Check out my list below.

Skin Healing Foods You Must Consume

1. Carrots

Carrots contain beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A which is an essential vitamin that promotes healthy skin cell production. You may consume chopped carrots as a crunchy snack or steam them and eat them together with your regular meal. You can also puree carrots and add ice to make a refreshing drink.

2. Avocadoes

Avocadoes are considered skin healing foods because they contain high amounts of healthy fats that make your skin more supple. Aside from healthy fats, avocados are also packed with vitamin E, an antioxidant that reduces UV sun damage and the appearance of scars.

3. Blueberries

If you’re looking for the best food for skin glow, blueberries should top your list. Well, there’s a reason why blueberries are considered superfoods. They provide you with antioxidants to combat skin aging and acne. Aside from eating blueberries, you may also crush them with yogurt or aloe vera and apply the mixture to your skin.

4. Pumpkin seeds

If you want fewer skin breakouts, consuming a handful of pumpkin seeds daily does the trick. Don’t let the size of these seeds fool you. Their high zinc content contains anti-inflammatory properties that combat skin swelling and promote skin renewal.

5. Tomatoes

When it comes to foods for healthy skin complexion, tomatoes are a great option. They contain high concentrations of vitamin C to make your skin go from dull to glowing. Tomatoes also reduce oiliness in your skin becomes acne-free. Be sure to include them in your recipes.

6. Salmon

Salmon is a must-eat and should be part of our list of skin healing foods. The reason salmon is superb is that it provides you with high doses of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega 3 is known to combat aging and inflammation. It reduces itching. No wonder celebrities have salmon-rich diets.

7. Spinach

You may dislike spinach, but think twice before you take it off your list. Incorporating it into your daily diet is effective in fighting acne and other skin problems. It contains skin antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E.

Have a skin care routine that starts from within. As an aspiring or current professional cheerleader, you know that flawless skin is essential.
