Daily Skin Care Habits That Make A Difference
The secret to improving your skin as an aspiring pro cheerleader is to establish good skincare habits. You might not be giving your skin a lot of attention. What's the big deal?
From a scientific perspective, the skin serves as your first line of defense against external elements. Anything can affect the appearance of your skin - the weather, chemical toxins, food, and your stress levels.
With the right habits, you can help your skin stay young, glowing, and free from inflammation. Here's how to get started. Keep reading.
1. Simplify your skincare regimen.
Are you using several products for your skin at once? If you're experimenting with various chemicals, there's a huge chance that you won't experience the maximum benefit of a product. It takes up to 6 weeks to be able to achieve a noticeable difference from a product. The solution? Give one product enough time to work its wonders.
2. Moisturize even if you have oily skin.
A lot of women believe that oily skin doesn't need moisturizing. The truth is, it does! Remember this: Moisturized skin = healthy skin. Dry skin is more likely to get inflamed and experience breakouts. If you are using treatments to dry acne, you also need a moisturizer to minimize the drying effect of acne treatments. Go for a moisturizer that contains glycerin, aloe, and squalene.
3. Add antioxidants to your diet.
Wondering what foods you should add to your diet for healthier skin? Natural foods are the best options. Avocadoes are great because they contain lots of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E. They can relieve inflammation and prevent acne. Broccoli, a cruciferous vegetable, packs vitamin C to aid in collagen production. Fatty fish such as salmon contains vitamin E to protect your skin from free radicals.
4. Exercise often!
You already know that a solid workout regimen is essential to building your dream pro cheer physique. But did you also know that working out is one of the secrets to beautiful skin? Exercise nourishes your skin cells by boosting blood flow. Not only that, but it also keeps you toned and reduces puffiness.
5. Check in with a dermatologist.
Sometimes, you'll find yourself needing the professional services of a dermatologist. After trying various products and methods to deal with breakouts, you might not be seeing results. Months before professional cheerleading auditions, make sure that you get expert guidance. It could be the key to ending your skin problems once and for all.
