Pro Cheer Positivity: How to Express Gratitude Every Day

Expressing gratitude daily leads to a healthy life. In pro cheerleading, being grateful each day boosts your immunity and helps you combat stress. As a result, you have better sleep and physical performance for workouts and dances.

You’ll also find it easier to eat healthily while staying present for audition preparation and squad activities. Keep on reading to discover tips for expressing gratitude every day.

1. Appreciate everything

Be thankful for everything you have. Even for the challenges and hardships you have and you’ll face. Don’t complain. Because of them, you have plenty of opportunities for growth.

2. Write down your blessings

Keep a journal that’s small enough to be brought wherever you go. Record all the blessings, positivity, and experiences you’ve received. It will help you feel grateful as you read them at the end of the day.

3. Pass the kindness on

If a person has been kind to you or helped you in any way, recompense that good deed to someone else. Better yet, start a chain of positivity. Be the light in a world of gloom.

4. Watch inspiring videos

Sometimes it can be hard to be grateful if we forget that there’s still good in the world. By watching inspiring videos, we’re reminded that positivity goes wherever life is. It comes from every single one of us. It happens all around us.

5. Create a social media post

If you feel grateful and have the right words to express it, don’t hesitate to share it on your wall. Through this, you can spread positivity in your social virtual circle while garnering likes and hearts - and these reactions are great mood boosters.

6. Volunteer

Join a local volunteer organization or if you’re a current cheerleader, attend more charity events that involve your squad. As a continuation of #3, helping others makes you more grateful for the things you have taken for granted.

7. Respect those around you

Treat other people the same level of courtesy you want to receive. Say please and thank you to your servers in restaurants. Be patient. If you have extra money, tip them. Doing the right thing makes one feel happy. So do more of it.

8. Don’t spend too much time on social media

While you should use social media to spread gratitude and good vibes, it’s important that you also limit your time spent on it. These online platforms have plenty of trolls waiting to ruin your day just for fun. Sometimes there is too much negativity from people arguing.

9. Don’t speak ill of others

Negativity and ungratefulness usually start in gossip. It’s like an ember ending up in a forest fire. Why? Because once we speak badly about anyone, we tend to unearth past emotions and subconsciously find a way to hate the person even more.

This train of emotions will overshadow all the good they’ve done. As much as possible, walk away from this kind of conversation or change the topic immediately.

10. Compliment someone

Compliments lead to gratitude because it makes you say thanks. It also helps us appreciate what we like and the other good things around us. The next time you notice something nice in a friend or squadmate, express it. Like if your friend’s new necklace is pretty, tell her it goes well with her clothes, skin, and neck profile.

The thing about expressing gratitude daily is that it’s free yet hard to do. So be the force of change in this world where people find it hard to be stoic yet easy to be mean to one another. Start within yourself by always finding reasons to be thankful. Then spread kindness to your surroundings.
