The Benefits of Face Yoga for Pro Cheer Beauty and 5 Exercises You Can Do at Home
Face yoga, as the name suggests, is an exercise that requires you to make facial movements and poses to work the muscles in the area. We at PRO CHEER LIFE™ want to share this skin workout for the purpose of helping you prevent or hide signs of aging without the use of botox, especially for older aspiring and current pro cheerleaders and dancers.
The Benefits of Face Yoga
1. Minimizes the appearance of stress lines
Face yoga releases the tension of your facial muscles. This leads to the reduction of the stress lines between your eyebrows and below your eyes.
2. Strengthens and tones facial muscles
As facial yoga strengthens and tones up your facial muscles, your jawline firns up, your eyes widen, and your cheek raises up.
3. Increased blood flow and circulation
Because of the increased blood flow and circulation to your face, more collagen is delivered to your skin, making it glow. A rosy white tone is a result for those with more pale skin tones.
4. Smoothens fine lines and wrinkles
Caucasians and other light-skinned races (aside from Asians) have skin that is less compact, thinner, and with less melanin. That’s why most, if not all, white folks age faster in appearance. Through face yoga, signs of fine lines and wrinkles may be reversed or avoided altogether if a woman does it during her mid-20s.
5 Face Yoga Exercises You Can Do at Home
1. Warm-Up
Condition your facial muscles first by blowing raspberries. The stronger the vibrations are, the more relaxed your facial muscles become. Pick a spot at home where you can freely spray your saliva. Do this 3 times.
2. For the Cheeks
This exercise will lift sagging cheeks by working up the muscles in the area. The entire cheek lifter routine requires you to complete 4-8 face workout sets and can take 2-5 minutes.
3. For Smile Lines
Smile lines are highly visible signs of aging that start from the side of your nose to the side of your lips. The workout sets involved in reducing smile lines require you to close and open your mouth, push your tongue around, and push the trapped air inside while your mouth is closed.
4. For Eye Circles
Tired of wearing your makeup to hide dark circles under your eyes? Do this face yoga routine then. Tip from other practitioners: Use aloe vera gel as you massage the area under your eyes.
5. For the Brow and Forehead
Brow and forehead wrinkles are commonly caused by frequent muscle contractions in the area. This face workout is best for current and aspiring pro cheerleaders that are often subjected to stress or work jobs that require a lot of problem-solving.
Remember to always sanitize your hands before doing these face exercises. Germs on your palms and fingers might cause acne as they touch your facial skin. As mentioned, apply aloe vera gel on your face. Not only will it reduce the friction of the massaging processes, but it will also add moisture to your skin. Last tip, don’t massage your face with long and sharp nails to avoid facial injuries.
